1. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. No email, no form, no retention call.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not cut you off immediately — you keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and your learning history stays where it is in case you come back.

2. When we refund

Before any of this applies, every new account can sit the placement check free and with no card taken, so you are measured before you pay anything. The windows below are for money actually paid.

  • Your first payment — 14 days, if you have not used it. Email us within 14 days of your first charge and, provided you have not used Liguastic since that charge, we refund it in full. Once you have used the paid subscription, the first payment is not refundable: cancel from Settings instead and keep access to the end of the period you paid for.
  • A renewal you did not mean to pay — 7 days. If a monthly or annual renewal caught you out and you have not used the service since it was charged, tell us within 7 days and we refund it.
  • If we break it. If a fault on our side stops you using what you paid for and we cannot fix it in reasonable time, we refund the unused part of your term.
  • If we close your account without cause. Same — we refund the unused part of your term.

3. When we do not refund

  • A first payment you have already used. Cancel instead, and keep access to the end of the period you paid for.
  • Time you simply did not use, outside the windows above. A subscription is for the period, not per lesson.
  • Accounts closed for breaching the acceptable use or academic integrity rules.
  • Exam results. Liguastic is preparation, and no honest tutor can promise a score — see how score estimates work.
  • Repeat refund requests from the same person across successive sign-ups.

4. How to ask

Email hello@liguastic.com from the address on your account. Tell us which charge you mean — the date and amount is plenty. You do not need an order number.

We reply within three business days. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method and usually appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

5. Who actually holds the money

Creem.io is our merchant of record: they take the payment, handle sales tax, and are the name on your card statement. Refunds are issued through them. You can still just email us — we will arrange it. Any sales tax or VAT charged is refunded along with the payment.

6. Before you call your bank

Please email us first. A chargeback takes weeks, costs us a fee, and we can almost always sort it out the same day. If you do not recognise a charge, it is very likely Creem.io on the statement rather than Liguastic — that is normal and it is us.

7. Your statutory rights

This policy is in addition to whatever your local consumer law gives you, not instead of it. Where your rights at home are stronger than this page, those rights apply. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.

The other two

  • Terms of Service

What you agree to: subscriptions, acceptable use, academic integrity, and why an AI band estimate is not an official score.

  • Privacy Policy

What we collect, which suppliers ever see it, how long it is kept, and how to make us delete all of it.
